Veg Structure & Traits
Record the plant’s physical structure and vegetative behavior.
Why Petiole Angle Matters:
• Upright Petioles = more vertical growth & tighter spacing.
• Flat/Horizontal Petioles = bushier plants, better lateral growth.
• Droopy Petioles = often signal overwatering, stress, or weak genetics.
You want your girls to begin showing sex around the 7–8 week mark if from seed.
Anything sooner typically signals sexual and hormonal instability.
Choose the plants that show sex later.
Veg Phase Stress Testing
Stress doesn’t create instability — it reveals it.
Flip + Flower Phase Tracking
Track stretch, sex stability, flower formation, terpene development, and stress response through bloom.
Early Flower Structure (Weeks 2–4)
Mid-Late Flower (Weeks 5–8+)
Flower Stress Checkpoints
Flower Phase Stress Testing
Absolutely critical to run the same stress tests again.
(If there were any inter-sex issues revealed at all whatsoever, don’t think twice and cull.)
Harvest Stage Observations
Cure + Post-Harvest Behavior
The best plants have terps that continue to evolve and change every time you open the jar.
The effects should be one of your #1 determining factors. If it doesn’t smoke right, it’s out.
Keeper Decision
It should score at least a 9.5/10 for you to consider keeping it. Be picky.
You don’t find your 10s casually.
If you decided to keep it, now run it back from clone — twice.
Make sure it stays consistent.
Breeding isn’t rigid. It’s an art. It’s your job to paint the picture — but I’m giving you the framework.
These aren’t just notes. These are foundational principles. Use them to filter the weak, sharpen your purpose, and log with intent.
Not every fire cut is a breeder.
Know the difference — and log it.
